• If you are a licensed Broker or Agent and you intend to join the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), California Association of REALTORS® (CAR), and Berkeley Association of Realtors® (BAR), you must join all three associations at the same time.
• All fees for REALTOR® membership, MLS participation, and lockbox key leasing must be paid in full at the time you join.
• You must be an East Bay Regional Data (EBRD) MLS subscriber to lease a lockbox key through BAR.
• We must use your name as it appears on your Department of Real Estate (DRE) license for our records and all membership information we submit to CAR, NAR and EBRD. If you would like a different name to appear on our records, you must first effect the change with the DRE.
• After you have completed the membership application(s), phone BAR at (510) 848-4288 to schedule a new-member appointment.
• The forms listed below require the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. Print the forms, complete the information and follow the directions above.

REALTOR® MEMBERSHIP
If you are a licensed Broker or Agent, and you intend to join NAR, CAR, and BAR, read this section.

If you are an Agent, your Broker must already be a member of BAR in order for you to apply for membership. Your Broker’s signature is required on the membership form.

Bring a copy of your original DRE license and a photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport) with you to your new-member appointment.

Complete the Application for Realtor® Membership form.

If you are applying for membership as an Affiliate, this is not the correct form for you to complete. See the section below for Affiliate Membership.

There are two different types of membership: Primary and secondary. You will join as one of these types:

1. Primary - You will be joining as a primary member of BAR if you are not currently a member of another association where you are paying your NAR and CAR dues. Refer to the primary members fee worksheet for membership fees.
2. Secondary - You will be joining as a secondary member of BAR, if you are currently a member of another association and are paying your NAR and CAR dues through that association. Refer to the secondary members fee worksheet for membership fees.

Political Survival is an optional contribution.

If you are the first affiliate member to join from your company, refer to the affiliate members fee worksheet for membership fees. For each additional affiliate member joining from your company, refer to the additional affiliate members fee worksheet for membership fees.

MLS (PARAGON) APPLICATION
All applications for MLS participation are located on the EBRD website (www.ebrdi.com). For fee information, refer to the MLS fee worksheet. If you are an Agent, your Broker’s signature is required on both of these forms.

MOVING YOUR LICENSE TO ANOTHER OFFICE
If you are moving your license from one broker to another (changing offices) you need to fill out the Change of Office form and give the original to us. We will send the updated information to NAR, CAR, EBRD, and Supra. This form can also be obtained at the EBRD website (www.ebrdi.com) in the Member section. You will need to contact EBRD directly for any listing changes.

CHANGING YOUR HOME ADDRESS
If you are changing your home or e-mail address, you need to fill out the Change of Personal Information form and give the original to us. This form can also be obtained at the EBRD website (www.ebrdi.com) in the Member section.
